Martial arts traditional Japanese handmade wooden Yawara stick in gorgeously grained old English Laburnum paired with a matching martial arts Kubotan in old English Laburnum on a stainless steel key ring. Handmade, great ergonomic finger grip design, to fit the palm of the hand, smooth to the touch, perfect memorable and unusual gift. The Laburnum is fully of characterful marks in the grain and the rings of age show the wood came from a very aged tree in a Shropshire Country garden. A different pattern on every face and quite mesmerising.
Each item is stylish unique, steeped in tradition and martial arts. The wooden Yawara stick is designed to fit in the palm of the hand, the Yawara name has been used interchangeably with jujutsu. The kubotan has knuckle like grips and is on a quality stainless steel key ring.
Yawara sticks and Kubotans also available separately.
Designed and handmade by me in Shropshire not mass produced made individually, each one of my items is slightly different and totally unique, finished with wax polish to let the natural colour of the wood shine through.
Size
Yawara stick is approximately 129mm long or 5 inches long slightly smaller than my usual Yawara sticks, but I go with the wood. Kubotan is approx 109mm or 4 and 1/4 inches long end to end excluding key ring.
Care Instructions
Polish the wood occasionally with beeswax to be rewarded with a deep shine in years to come.
